At one of the entrances to my subdivision, there is a good sized tree growing on the shore of a small lake. Every night on the drive home from work, I would notice multiple V’s of birds flying somewhere. I eventually determined that they were converging from all directions upon this certain tree, where they would roost for the evening. I think this tree probably housed a branch for several hundred Ibis each night, and it was fun to watch the guests who hadn’t guaranteed late check-in jockey to find an empty branch.
